Kate Elliot (Alis Rasmussen) - Alis (her real name) is an old friend. She has written several books under  her own name and many more under the name of Kate Elliot. Her current Crown of Stars series composed of "King's Dragon", "Prince of Dogs", and "The Burning Stone" is very good.

Diana Wynne Jones - She's the best at what is often called juvenile fantasy. What I call it is damn fine writing and well worth reading.

Michael McCollum - Michael has some good solid space opera. I highly recommend his "Antares Dawn" and "Antares Rising" novels. He sells his own stuff through his web site.

Andre Norton - She's been writing a long time and has a lot of books out. And they're all pretty good. This site concentrates on her Witch World books.

David Weber - This is an unofficial page but it has a fair amount of good information. David writes space opera in the grand style and some of the best space battles ever.
